Diesel Injection System Maintenance Guide

The diesel fuel injection system (mainly high-pressure common rail) is the "heart" of a diesel engine. The core maintenance principles are: Strictly Controlling Fuel Purity, Regularly Replacing Filters, Standardizing Cleaning and Testing, and Preventing Impurities and Moisture from Entering. Proper maintenance can significantly extend the lifespan of the high-pressure pump and injectors, and reduce high maintenance costs.

I. Fuel and Daily Use
Only use genuine, qualified diesel fuel, select the octane rating according to the temperature, and do not mix inferior fuels or additives.
Keep the fuel tank as full as possible, and drain the fuel-water separator weekly to prevent water damage to components.

II. Core Maintenance Cycle
Fuel Filter
Routine: Replace every 10,000-20,000 km
Under severe conditions: Replace every 10,000 km
Use genuine filters and replace the rear air intake.
Fuel Injectors
Routine: Check and clean every 30,000-40,000 km
Under severe conditions: Check every 20,000 km
Check atomization, pressure, and sealing; replace gaskets.
High-Pressure Fuel Pump
Check for leaks, abnormal noises, and fuel supply pressure every 50,000 km
Never run the pump without fuel, idle, or allow air in.
Low-Pressure Fuel System
Check for leaks and air ingress every 20,000 km
Every 30,000-50,000 km Clean the fuel tank filter every 10,000 kilometers.

III. Operating Habits:

Warm up the engine at idle after a cold start, and allow it to cool down at idle before turning it off after heavy loads.
Avoid prolonged idling, sudden acceleration, and overloading to reduce carbon buildup and impact.

IV. Troubleshooting Symptoms (Timely Repair):

Weak power, shaky idling, black/white smoke, difficulty starting, increased fuel consumption, and malfunction indicator lamp illumination.
